Welcome to the Stafford Welcomes Refugees website

Stafford Welcomes Refugees is a voluntary organisation formed in 2015 to campaign for more refugee families to be admitted to the UK and Stafford in particular. We now support refugee families from Syria, Afghanistan, Ukraine and other countries living in Stafford. Our activities aim to assist in their integration into our society. They include befriending, social events and language support. We also facilitate the sharing of refugees’ experiences and culture. We believe that Stafford benefits from being a diverse community and continue campaigning for more individuals and families from overseas who are fleeing from war, extreme poverty and natural disasters to come here.
